Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, while not as remarkable as advertised, provided a comfortable night's sleep. The staff were welcoming and efficient. The breakfast was delicious, though dinner options sounded more impressive.
I had a wonderful time at the hotel. The rooms were lovely and spacious, ready for my stay, with a charming four-poster bed and elegant furnishings. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful, particularly Emma who assisted with organizing a special engagement. The location was absolutely beautiful, perfect for a leisurely stroll in the gardens by the lake. Dining was delightful, with a great variety of delicious options. Overall, a fantastic experience!
My stay at the hotel was truly special. The room, although not located in the main building but in the old stable block attached to the side of the house, was incredibly spacious, offering all the amenities I could ask for. The service was one in a million, with staff being friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The location was a delight, with a gorgeous setting and fantastic food. The dining experience was fabulous, and the facilities were top-notch. However, there were some issues with the room service, and I felt a bit clueless about the area attractions as the staff seemed more focused on upselling services.
Staying at the hotel was a mixed experience with some highlights and drawbacks. The rooms, although not as luxurious as expected, had a pleasant surprise with a courtyard view. The staff were friendly and efficient, while the breakfast stood out. However, the lack of clarity on room locations was disappointing.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms, although different from the photos on booking, were spotless, enormous, equipped with all amenities, and exceptionally comfortable. However, the initial confusion about the room placement was quickly resolved by the incredibly welcoming, friendly, and efficient staff. The location was stunning, with a peaceful atmosphere, a beautiful walled garden, and a mesmerizing view of the lough. The food at the hotel was superb, and all meals were exquisite. The overall experience of the stay was further enhanced by the charming landscape views and the friendly and accommodating staff.
The lower ground room we stayed in turned out to be different from what we expected based on the website. It's a bit disappointing that these rooms are not in the main hotel as we had enjoyed the wonderful rooms on a previous stay. However, the service was beyond awesome, with staff going above and beyond, even surprising us with complimentary prosecco and chocolates for our anniversary. The location, while remote from typical tourist spots, is worth the trip for the beautiful setting and excellent quality provided. The dining experience was a highlight, with a great buffet selection, but it would benefit from including lighter choices like a fruit cocktail and yogurt.
